Metrics in the SEO tool
You'll see some of these metrics when researching new topics to create. You can also see these metrics for a specific topic or subtopic you've created:
-
Monthly search volume is calculated using SEMrush and is the average monthly searches for a keyword in search engines. You'll want to look for topics and subtopics that are generating monthly volume already, but keep in mind that some of these phrases might be difficult to rank for.
-
Difficulty is an estimation of the difficulty you will face breaking into the front page of search results for this topic. This score is measured on a 100 point scale, meaning it's easier to see success with keywords that have lower scores.
Why do my validation metrics read No data?
If your subtopic keyword validation metrics don’t populate with any data, possible reasons include:- SEMRush doesn't have any data for this metric.
- SEMRush provides HubSpot with null data, even when their application itself shows data. This usually resolves by itself.
- Data relating to monthly search volume is cached for 30 days, so results may not be updated.
- The topic is set to a country that doesn't have any search volume for the topic. For example, if you have a language-specific topic but your topic is configured for a country that does not speak that language, you may not have any search data. You can see locales available for monthly search volume and subtopic keyword suggestions from SEMrush databases.
