Users with Account access permissions can turn off email tracking and attachment logging for emails sent using HubSpot.
Please note: the email tracking and attachment logging setting does not apply to sequences emails.
Turn off one-to-one-email tracking
When tracking is turned off, you won't see open and click information for emails sent from the CRM, the conversations inbox, or Gmail, Outlook, or Office 365 using the email extension or add-in. To turn off tracking:
- In your HubSpot account, click the settings settings icon in the main navigation bar.
- In the left sidebar menu, navigate to Objects > Activities.
- Click the Email logging tab.
- In the Email Tracking section, clear the Allow all users to track emails and see when recipients open and click on their emails checkbox.
When sending an email from the CRM, an alert will display that your admin has disabled email tracking. Click Got it to send the email.
If you’re sending emails using the sales email extension or add-in, the Track box will be grayed out in your mail client.
Turn off email attachment logging
When email attachment logging is turned off, attachments included in emails sent from your email account using the email extension or add-in, or using the BCC or forwarding address, will not log to HubSpot. Attachments included in incoming emails will also not log. To turn off attachment logging:
- In your HubSpot account, click the settings settings icon in the main navigation bar.
- In the left sidebar menu, navigate to Objects > Activities.
- Click the Email Logging tab.
- Clear the Allow all users to log email attachments checkbox.
